Overview

The Tsum Valley is located near Tibet in the northern part of the Gorkha district, within the Manaslu Region. This trip to the isolated and culturally diverse Tsum Valley in Nepal is truly amazing. The Tsum Valley Trek is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that offers breathtaking scenery, historic Buddhist monasteries, and friendly locals. The Tsum Valley Region, which is located inside Nepal’s Restricted Region, is a relatively new and unexplored destination that has been accessible for trekking since 2008.

Another name for the Tsum Valley is the “hidden valley of happiness.” This area is home to the Tsum people, who are known for their simplicity and friendliness and are of Tibetan descent. This title will be reflected in the friendly welcome you get when you stay in their traditional lodges and enjoy the real Nepalese a food item.

A distinctive cultural and traditional experience of their preserved ancient Buddhist heritage is provided by your 14-day trek through the Tsum Valley. You pass many monasteries, chortens (Buddhist shrines), and Mani walls with prayer flags hanging from them along the way. The largest monastery in the area, the Mu Gompa, is a spiritual and enlightening place to visit.
