Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our dedicated tour officer will warmly receive you. Look for a play card with your name as they wait outside the airport terminal. Your welcome includes a traditional garland, and you'll be escorted to your hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Once at the hotel, your tour officer will assist you with check-in and conduct a pre-trip meeting. During this session, you'll receive a comprehensive briefing on your itinerary, meet your guide, and have the opportunity to address any questions or concerns. Take this time to settle any remaining balances and provide a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Early in the morning, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and accompany you to the domestic terminal at Kathmandu airport. There, you'll board a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, providing breathtaking views of the Himalayas during the 40-minute journey. Upon landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, your porter will be waiting to assist with your luggage as you embark on a three-hour trek to Phakding. The trail begins with a pass through a ceremonial gatehouse (Kani), descending steeply and running level above Kyangma village. After passing a large monastery and school in Kyangma, you'll enter Cheplung village. Crossing a suspension bridge, you'll experience a short climb around the ridge to Ghat before reaching the hamlet of Chhuthawa and, finally, Phakding. Overnight stay at a mountain lodge.

Following breakfast, your trek along the Dudh Koshi River resumes. Passing through local porter rest houses and a small hydroelectric project, the trail climbs over the ridge to the village of Toktok, offering your first view of Thamserku peak (6608m). Continuing through Benkar with its scenic waterfalls, the trail crosses the Dudh Koshi River via a suspension bridge at Chumoa. A steep climb takes you to the outskirts of Monjo village, where your trekking card is checked at the Sagarmatha National Park checkpoint. Crossing another suspension bridge, you'll reach Jorsale and ascend through pine forests, eventually arriving at Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay at a mountain lodge.

Take a day to explore Namche Bazaar and hike to Shyangboche for panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks. Pass the grass airstrip at Shyangboche and reach the Everest View Hotel, the highest hotel globally, as per the Guinness Book of Records. Enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Everest before continuing your walk to Khumjung, the largest Sherpa village in the Everest region. Visit the Khumjung Gompa, which houses treasures like a Yeti Skull. Return to Namche Bazaar, with the option to visit the Sagarmatha National Park Visitor Center, showcasing displays on Himalayan flora, fauna, and Sherpa culture. Overnight stay at a mountain lodge.

Embark on a thrilling journey from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, ascending to an altitude of 3860m (12664ft) over 5 hours. Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, tracing the trail past the monumental mani in Chhorkung. The path unfolds northward, revealing a breathtaking panorama of Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and the majestic Everest. After passing through Kyangjuma and Sanasa, the trail gently descends to the river, crossing Lawichasa, Tashinga, and Phunki Thenga. Traverse a bridge, ascend through a rhododendron forest, and encounter porter rest stops on your way to Tengboche. The focal point is the Tengboche Gompa, housing intricate wall hangings, a 20-foot Buddha sculpture, and the regalia of the Lamas. Cap the day with awe-inspiring views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam, and Kantega from the hilltop viewpoint. Retreat to a comfortable mountain lodge for the night.

Retrace your steps from Tengboche to Phuki Thenga, ascending the ridge towards Namche Bazaar. Descend to the Dudh Koshi river, using trekking poles and knee support as the path heads downhill. Cross a suspension bridge and navigate a mostly level path to Jorsale before climbing to Monjo. A checkpoint in Monjo verifies your trekking credentials. Spend the night in a mountain lodge.

Embark on an easy 4-hour walk through Benkar and Phakding, enjoying distinct views of Sherpa villages, prayer flags, and lush forests. Arrive in Lukla, marking the end of your trek. Relax at the lodge, share a celebratory moment with your guide and crew, and spend the night in Lukla.

Catch an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is yours to unwind. Indulge in a hot shower or spa treatment to rejuvenate your body. Overnight at the hotel.

Bid farewell to the enchanting Himalayan experience as our tour officer escorts you to Kathmandu International Airport for your departure from Nepal.
