Overview
Begin on an awe-inspiring journey with Mount Face Nepal through the Annapurna Circuit and Thorang La Pass trek, unveiling the splendor of the North and South Mid-West regions of the Nepal Himalaya. Immerse yourself in the captivating richness of culture, traditions, and customs embraced by the mid-hill communities.
Renowned as one of the world’s premier treks, this expedition winds through two distinct river valleys, encircling the majestic Annapurna massif. Traverse diverse biospheres, ascending from lush sub-tropical jungles to the arid landscapes reminiscent of the Tibetan Plateau. The trek unfolds a tapestry of cultural diversity, transitioning from Hindu villages nestled in the low foothills to the Tibetan influences of the Himalayan Manang valley and lower Mustang. Commencing from Besishar and Jagat village near Pokhara, nestled in the embrace of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalaya, the journey commences in the warm lowlands, gradually ascending through alpine terrain adorned with tranquil forests of rhododendron, oaks, magnolia, and pine tree lines.
A standout feature of the Thorang La Pass trek is the passage through the world’s deepest gorge, the Kali Gandaki gorge, and the conquering of the highest pass globally, Thorang La, standing proudly at an elevation of 5,416 meters. The trail winds through the remote and enchanting valley of Manang before reaching the sacred site of Muktinath. This expedition promises an unforgettable exploration of nature’s wonders and the cultural mosaic that adorns the Annapurna Circuit and Thorang La Pass trek.
Our journey will take us through the scenic route, allowing us to explore the authentic Gurung and Manang villages nestled in the region. Following visits to renowned Thakali and Manang villages such as Manang, Jomsom, and Marpha, we will ultimately ascend to the elevated Thorang La pass, standing tall at an impressive 5,416 meters (17,700 feet).
